Pupils and staff were delighted by today’s GCSE results, with 58% of pupils achieving at least 5 A* - C grades at GCSE, including English and Maths.
An excellent Progress 8 score +0.38, Attainment 8 score 5.11 (C) and some excellent GCSE Business results within the Education Alliance.
Headteacher Mr Sprakes commented on how proud he is of all the pupils and staff.
He said, "It is very pleasing to see, that after a challenging year at Malet Lambert, the resilience and hard work from our pupils and staff has paid off.
"Our results see some excellent subject performances, but most of all we are pleased that our Progress 8 score reflects all of the hard work, with pupils making excellent progress."
He added, "It’s great to have the privilege of watching the pupils collect their results.
"Many of them look so nervous as they walk through the doors, and it’s fantastic to watch the delight as they read their results.
"It was lovely to see so many of them taking the time to thank their teachers.
"It’s a really exciting time for them now as they embark on the next stage of their lives and I’m always interested to hear about their future plans.”
Deputy Headteachers Mr Fenna and Mr Logan were equally thrilled with the accomplishments of this year group.
They said, “We are extremely proud of the hard work of our students and staff in achieving a positive set of examination results.
"We look forward to seeing them flourish during their next phase of education or career.”
