Recruitment, Talent and Skills Bondholder breakfast event at Malet Lambert School, Friday 14th October, 2016, 7.45 am - 9.30 am.
Malet Lambert is proud to announce we will be holding a recruitment, talent and skills Bondholders’ breakfast this coming Friday 14th October 2016.
Malet Lambert will welcome Adrian Mills, the General Manager of BBC North, Derek Redmond, a British athlete and World Champion and Olympic medallist, Vaughan Curnow, the Project Blyth Coordinator from the Greenpower Education Trust and Jane Spencer, the Regional Head of HR - Humber, ABP & Humber LEP Employment Forum.
In the last 12 months we have seen an unprecedented level of investment in the Humber region, with billions of pounds being committed. From DONG Energy’s offshore wind farms and Wykeland Beal’s redevelopment of Hull's Fruit Market to Siemens and ABP’s continued investment around the Humber estuary.
The benefits of these and many more key projects includes the creation of thousands of jobs, both direct and indirect. However, we continue to face the challenge of attracting and retaining talent which is essential if we are to ensure the Humber is in a position to meet the needs of investors and employers to secure the success of current and future developments.
During this event we will focus on how we can harness local talent, look at the issues in attracting skilled professionals from outside the region and, more importantly, how we can work to overcome these issues.
Mr Logan, Deputy Headteacher of Malet Lambert said, “It is always good to welcome our business community into our school to enable us to gain understanding of local challenges, developments and opportunities. Working in partnership provides learning opportunities for our pupils. Thank you to the Bondholders team for choosing us as an event.”
