Five students have been presented with prizes as part of the Above and Beyond scheme this week, after February’s round of nominations.
Heads of Year put forward one name each, after consulting with form tutors and winners were given prizes of their choice, supplied by a local business that supports the Above and Beyond scheme.
This time the winners were:
Year 7 - Abbie, who was chosen for continually being in the top section of recognition points for girls, and for her excellent attitude and polite manner.
Year 8 - Will, who has impressed staff with his consistently good behaviour and attendance
Year 9 - Larissa, who has shown an outstanding attitude to her lessons and extra-curricular activities. Her positive outlook on school is admirable and an excellent example to others in the year group.
Year 10 - Leighanna, who puts in exceptional effort at school - helping to tutor other students, contributing to school events, taking part in debate club and encouraging younger members in Taekwondo club.
Year 11 - Eilish, nominated for outstanding progress across all subjects and her contribution to extra curricular activities.
All students were delighted to have been recognised as outstanding members of our school community. Particularly Eilish, who also won a prize for her efforts earlier in the autumn term.
She said, “Last time, I asked for theatre tickets so I’ve booked to see comedian Chris Ramsey at Hull Truck. I even got to go backstage and meet him afterwards, which was a great experience.
“This time I’ve chosen free tickets for Hollywood Bowl. It’s great to have my achievements recognised like this."
