When Maths teacher & Year 8 Progress Leader Miss Masterson moved into a new classroom two weeks ago, she decided the blank walls needed a few extra displays to make it an engaging place to work for her students.
Enter Miss Beilsten, humanities teaching assistant, who has worked magic on the bare room and transformed it into a maths haven!
Miss Masterson said, "My room now looks fantastic. Miss Beilsten has created some brilliant, colourful displays that are still maths-relevant, and it's a pleasure to teach in here."
Malet Lambert staff regularly share ideas on positive learning environments to ensure they are displaying students' work and subject information in an engaging way.
Our students have definitely noticed! Miss Masterson's Y8 maths class said:
"The room was quite dull and boring before but the new displays make it a more interesting place to work, and sometimes if I'm stuck I can look at the information on the walls to remind me of how to do something." - Thomas
"I think the room looks awesome, it looks so much more colourful with the displays. We have lots of classrooms like this in school, they are always the best ones to learn in." - Troy
"I like how different it looks, I feel like I learn better in this classroom now." - Kelly
