Uniform Update Summer Term
Thank you for your support with uniform standards last half- term. It is always great to see so many of our students looking so very smart in their correct uniform. This uniform focus will be continuing throughout this coming half term, as we maintain the high standards that make Malet Lambert such a heavily oversubscribed school.
We will continue to give students reminder slips about uniform issues which may result in specific amounts of time in isolation if the student does not address the issue(s) within the very fair time frames provided. The specific details of our approach this half term are below and these were referred to in a text to all parents on Tuesday 12th April.
Wed 13th April to Friday 22th April
During form time, tutors will issue yellow reminder slips to students who need to address specific uniform issue(s) ready for tutor follow up checks on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th April. Students who have not addressed the issue(s) by that point will be placed into a half day isolation with work provided on Wed 27 April (9.00-12.15). Parents will be notified via text on Tuesday 26th April if your child is going to be isolated in this way.
Wed 27th April to Friday 6th May
During form time, tutors will issue blue reminder slips to students who need to address specific uniform issue(s) ready for tutor follow up checks on Monday 9th May and Tuesday 10th May. Students who have not addressed the issue(s) by that point will be placed into a half day isolation on Wed 11 May ( 9.00-1.10 ) with work provided and this will include lunch time where students will need to come with provision for lunch. Parents will be notified via text on Tuesday 10 May if your child is going to be isolated in this way.
Wed 11th May to Friday 20th May
During form time, tutors will issue purple reminder slips to students who need to address specific uniform issue(s) ready for tutor follow up checks on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th May. Students who have not addressed the issue(s) by that point will be placed into a full day isolation on Wed 25 May ( 9.00- 15.10 ) with work provided and this will include lunch time, meaning that students will need to come with provision for lunch. Parents will be notified via text on Tuesday 24th May if your child is going to be isolated in this way.

As always, early communication from parents about valid reasons for uniform issues may avoid the need for a student to be isolated. We pride ourselves on working in close partnership with all of our parents.
