This year, we will be collecting presents to be distributed to disadvantaged children at Christmas.
As part of the 'Mission Christmas' campaign run by Viking FM's Cash for Kids charity, pupils and staff will be able to drop gifts at school which will then be presented to Viking FM later in the month, and delivered to children of all ages across East Yorkshire.
Over 21,000 children in our region are living in poverty, and will not receive Christmas presents this year, because often Christmas can be a luxury that some families can't afford.
Last December, our pupils collected 926 presents over just two weeks to make a difference for children in our area - this year we want to smash that total, and we have five weeks to do it!
Until 14th December, pupils can bring gifts to school which can be left with tutors, at reception, or brought up to Mrs Thompson’s room in the English corridor.
Only NEW gifts will be accepted, boxed or in original packaging, and we ask pupils to consider all age groups - from babies and toddlers, up to teenagers.
Thank you to pupils who have already given generously, with 177 presents gifted in just the first week!
